ABOUT THE ARTIST
BIOGRAPHY
I've been a resident of the Central California Coast since 1968. I have been practicing
my art since I discovered my first box of crayons. My style has evolved and my
mediums more extensive, but I still feel the thrill of creation and the excitement of
experiencing new ways to express myself.
I grew up in the Sacramento Delta in a rural setting in a loving and nurturing
environment. I learned the value of hard work, to appreciate nature, and to entertain
myself. I grew up knowing I would always be an artist, no matter what else I might do.
I went to Courtland for my early education, UC Davis, UCLA, and attended World
Campus Afloat with Chapman College of Orange County where I traveled around the
world. I married my husband Mel and settled on the Central Coast to raise our children.
We lived in San Luis Obispo, Arroyo Grande, and now in Atascadero.
